Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Programme Objectives

This programme aims to equip participants with proven lean six sigma methodologies and tools to reduce waste, increase productivity and drive continuous improvements.

Upon completing the programme, participants will be able to:

  1. Examine the underpinning principles of the DMAIC process improvement framework to effectively select and deliver a lean six sigma green belt project (within their sphere of control and influence) while demonstrating an ability to story board their project throughout its life cycle.

  2. Initiate and lead a green belt process improvement project using a clearly scoped opportunity statement while managing a project team and gaining support for the project using effective stakeholder communication and customer centric practices and techniques.

  3. Formulate a fact-based understanding of the current state process using a number of measurement techniques including value stream mapping and data collection plans.

  4. Examine and analyse the underlying reasons for process waste and variation using a suite of lean and six sigma techniques including FMEA, process maps, root cause analysis, graphical displays including run & control charts, histograms & pareto charts as well as team-based brainstorming and decision-making tools.

  5. Identify and implement a process improvement action plan based on objective criteria which will deliver measurable process improvements while ensuring buy-in from stakeholders. This will involve applying a suite of lean six sigma tools and group activities including 5S, Kanban events, visual management, and error proofing.

  6. Validate that solutions are effective and ongoing improvements are embedded in the organisation using process control planning, training and standardised work, retrospectives, and lessons learned.

5 Important Benefits of this Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Course

If you’re new to process improvement, the many different terms and techniques can seem overwhelming at first.

This course gives you a solid foundation in understanding the different elements of lean six sigma.

  • 2. Gain Confidence to Implement

It is one thing to attend training and come away with a theoretical knowledge of a subject, and another to feel ready to put your new skills into practice.

Our goal is to blend theoretical and practical learning so that when the course is completed, you will feel confident using lean six sigma within your working environment.

  • 3. Learn from Lean Six Sigma Experts

Our trainers have extensive experience, not only of delivering green belt certification programmes, but also of leading transformational lean six sigma projects in the real world.

They will share their knowledge and insights with you throughout the course.

  • 4. Learn how to Generate Sustainable Savings

During this course, you will acquire the tools and knowledge required to implement sustainable top and bottom line improvements within your organisation.

  • 5. Achieve Respected Green Belt Certification

There is no denying that certification is important. New and potential employers need proof that you can do what you say you can. Existing employers want assurance that your training has met certain criteria.
