What is "Opting In"?

We’re asking anyone who has contacted us in the past to “opt in” to hearing from us.

“Opting In” means you’re telling us you would like to receive emails from us about specific topics.

Why Opt In?

What Information Will I Receive?

Along with information on our upcoming course dates, we send out regular articles and tips to help with your productivity and overall knowledge about our areas of expertise. These areas include:

  • Project Management
  • Agile & Scrum
  • Management & Leadership
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Train the Trainer
  • In-Company Training

Why Do I Need to “Opt In”?

We’re asking people to opt-in partly because of the upcoming changes to legislation through GDPR, but also because we feel quite strongly about the following points:

1. We want you to let us know that you would like to hear from us.

We love to share helpful information, guides, and articles about new and upcoming courses, but we want to make sure you’d like to receive it.

Opting in gives you the power to tell us whether you’d like to receive these emails or not, and it enables you to select what subject areas you’d like to hear about.

2. We want to send you the right news and information.

You can update your email preferences at any time to let us know what areas you’d like to hear about.

For example, you may want to hear about project management and train the trainer right now. If in 6 months you’d prefer to hear about management and leadership instead, you can visit your email preference centre to update your preferences to reflect this change.

It takes seconds to update your email preferences and ensures that you only receive the information you really want.

3. We want you to know that your information is safe.

When you opt in to hearing from us, your information is safely stored. We never sell information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Any information we share with third parties is strictly for student certification or study purposes. This is communicated clearly to each student during the booking process.

4. We want you to know that you can opt out or change your preferences at any time.

We believe in giving you control over your personal data, making it easy for you to choose what arrives in your inbox.

You have the right to change your mind and you can opt out from our email updates at any time.

If you opt out, you’ll still hear from our training consultants in response to any request for information you make, but we’ll hold off on sending you emails about course news, tips and guides, or new articles we’ve written.

Opt In, Select Interests, Stay in Control

What is GDPR?

You may have heard the term GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) flying around.

It’s a new European legislation coming into effect on May 25th, 2018, and it’s designed to make sure your personal data is much safer.

It’s also intended to give you better control over what your data is used for.

You can read about GDPR and how it affects you in detail at gdprandyou.ie. This is a great site set up by the Data Protection Commission, that guides you through what GDPR means for you and your personal data.
