About The New PMP® Exam

As one of the world’s leading credentials, the Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam must continually evolve to retain its relevancy to project management excellence.

In line with this, on January 2nd 2021, a new PMP® exam came into effect.

What has changed?

You can read more about what has changed in the PMP® exam by downloading our PDF brochure, but here is a brief synopsis of what has changed:

  1. Domains

The new exam is structured along three domains with the proportion of questions as follows:

    People 42% - Process 50% - Business Environment 8%

  2. Agile and Hybrid Practices

The exam includes predictive, agile and hybrid project management approaches found across the three domains.

50% of the exam is expected to be based on agile and hybrid approaches and 50% based on predictive or plan based approaches.
